New Training Courses coming soon to Essential Thyme.

Essential Thyme currently offer fully accredited training courses in Swedish Massage, Indian Head Massage and Thai Hand & Foot Massage, they are also working on some new courses which are currently being written and sent off for accreditation before they are released.

To whet your appetite here is a snapshot of the new courses coming soon.

Essential Oils Safety, Uses & Blending – Level 1 & Level 2:

These courses will cover some of the following topics:

What an essential oil is
How to use them safely
How to blend the oils for different medical conditions
Investigate the chemistry of the different oils and how they can change when blended

Level 1:

You will study 40 different essential oils & 5 carrier oils

Study will be a mix of home study, 4 days of face-to-face training learning the oils, followed by theory and practical assessments.

Prerequisite – none required. However, If you wish to use this qualification while delivering massage then a Level 3 or equivalent in Swedish Massage is required

Level 2:

You will study a further 30 essential oils & 13 carrier oils

Study will be a mix of home study, 3 days of face-to-face training learning the oils, followed by theory and practical assessments.

Prerequisite – Level 1 Essential Oil Safety, Uses & Blending. If you wish to use this qualification while delivering massage then a Level 3 or equivalent in Swedish Massage is required

Cupping Massage:

This training course will teach you how to use specialised suction cups to massage the body, using negative pressure. A great alternative for clients who need deep work but can’t handle the pain/pressure of a positive pressure massage.

Study will be a mix of home study, 1-day face-to-face practical training, followed by theory and practical assessments.

Prerequisite for this course is a Level 3 or equivalent in Swedish Massage

Pregnancy Massage:

Learn how to deliver the specialist skill of pregnancy massage at a time when your pregnant client’s bodies are changing. A time when your clients need some well-deserved me time while helping them to soothe all of those aches and pains.

You will learn how to position your client to help with their relaxation as well as how & when to deliver the massage safely, taking into account medical conditions that are pregnancy related.

Study will be a mix of home study, 1-day face-to-face practical training, followed by theory and practical assessments.

Prerequisite for this course is a Level 3 or equivalent in Swedish Massage

Advanced Massage Techniques Training Course:

Learn how to develop your massage techniques with an array of different massage techniques, such as Myofascial or Trigger Point Release, Hands-Free, Deep Tissue/Sports massage techniques and more.

Study will be a mix of home study, 3-day face-to-facewell-deserved practical training, followed by theory and practical assessments.

Prerequisite for this course is a Level 3 or equivalent in Swedish Massage
